In what started out as a way of conveniently disseminating our travel stories to family and friends, this site grew into something more: a repository of our experiences. Consequently, my desire to cultivate both the quantity and quality of its content grew, and that is where we find ourselves today. I will continue to detail our travels for posterity and if the information is useful to anyone else, well, that is great.
To provide some context, I am someone that enjoys the outdoors; primarily I am interested in climbing up things, but walking, swimming or paddling through things is also neat. Travelling to see and experience new places and cultures has genuinely shaped the course of my life, and I hope to have further opportunities to travel. As part of everything I do, I like to take photos, and I believe that all ties together nicely; I love the hunt of finding the shot and I really enjoy the dance that is digital image processing.
A phrase I wrote for this page when I first put this site together some years ago sums things up nicely: I want to share my photographs. I want to share my adventures. I want to share any useful information for travelling that I research, along with hiking/climbing routes.
